Skyroot Aerospace:

First Indian start-up to launch a private rocket (Vikram-s) from India.

 

Skyroot Aerospace Private Limited is an Indian private aerospace manufacturer and commercial launch service provider headquartered in Hyderabad, Telangana. The company was founded by former engineers and scientists from ISRO. It aims to develop and launch its own series of expandable small-lift launch vehicles especially crafted for the small satellite market.

 

Skyroot Aerospace was formed in July 2018 by former ISRO scientists Pawan Kumar Chandana, Naga Bharath Daka.

Agnikul Cosmos:

AgniKul Cosmos Private Limited is an Indian aerospace manufacturer based in National Center for Combustion R&D (NCRD) of IIT MadrasChennai.The startup aims to develop and launch its own small-lift launch vehicle such as the Agnibaan, capable of placing 100 kg (220 lb) payload into a 700 km (430 mi) orbit. The first commercial launch was expected in 2022. However, no launch happened in that year.

 

The company was founded by Srinath Ravichandran and Moin SPM within IIT Madras

 

o It has successfully conducted the flight acceptance test for its 3D-printed rocket engine “Agnilet”.

o Agnikul has also unveiled India’s first privately designed and operated rocket launch pad and mission control centre.

 

 

Pixxel is an Indian based private space technology company, aiming to put a constellation of 30+ hyperspectral earth observation micro-satellites into a sun-synchronous orbit in 2020s. The company is headquartered in El Segundo, California and Bengaluru, Karnataka.

 

Pixxel’s first satellite, Anand, was earlier scheduled to be launched in late 2020 on a Soyuz rocket. It later entered in an agreement with India’s state owned NSIL to use a PSLV rocket for launching it in early 2021. Its launch on board the PSLV-C51 was delayed in February 2021 due to technical issues. It is now expected to launch on-board the PSLV-C54/EOS-06 mission
