Recently Honda shifting to Indiana plans its production for the next-generation Civic hybrid.Originally, Honda planned to produce the Civic in Guanajuato, Mexico, starting in November 2027.

The production will take place at Honda’s existing Indiana Auto Plant in Greensburg, Indiana. Honda anticipates producing approximately 210,000 Civics annually at the Indiana plant.

However, due to potential U.S. tariffs and rising costs, Honda is now planning to produce the vehicle in Indiana, with production expected to begin in May 2028. 

In essence, Honda is adjusting its manufacturing strategy in response to changing trade policies.
